Who is MyLady Marie?

CN Tower

I’ve lived in Toronto all my life and I have never been to the CN Tower, I wonder how many of us can say the same? I’d been thinking about my love for traveling and how I’d like to get away more often, then it occurred to me, people from around the world travel to my city to experience all the wonders it has to offer from, Food, Drink, Entertainment, Museums, Theaters, Tourists Attractions etc… And I have not explored my own city to the lengths I would if I were traveling to another destination.

And there it was, no more pondering, no more procrastinating, I decided…. I’m going to explore Toronto like a Tourist. That following weekend was my daughters birthday and I thought to myself, what an opportune time to visit the CN Tower. We got all dressed up and set out for an action packed day which would include: Dinner at the 360 Restaurant, visit the world famous glass floor and skypod. My little ones were just about as excited as I was to be visiting this popular attraction, actually, I think I was more excited.

Note to self: Make reservations for the 360 Restaurant prior to attending the tower, for your sanity, thank me later 🙂

We arrived around 2:00pm thinking we could get in on the latter end of lunch, then be done with our exploration by 4:30-5:00pm the latest. Wrong, they take the last lunch reservation at 1:45pm, damn, just missed it. I made a reservation for 4:30pm and found other things to pass our time until then. The 50sec ride up the

Salmon on Lentils with Spinach and Crab Hollandaise Sauce

CN Tower was a little never racking but it was just the right amount of fear/excitement that gets me going. Can I say breathtaking view!! I’d do it all over again just for that. I can hear your thoughts (How was the food you ask?), it was tasty, I had the Salmon on Lentils with Spinach and the others had different variations of chicken. All in all, we enjoyed our meals, it was worth the 65$ each for a 2-course meal. This 65$ includes a free ride up the tower, whereby you can visit the glass floor afterward.  Time was flying and I wanted to make the most of the remaining daylight we had left so we took our tickets for the skypod (12$ extra per person) and we took another ride further up the tower, the view only gets better. This is what I’ve missed out on this whole time?? Right in my backyard?? Well, this just confirms it, I can’t wait to see what other amazing experiences await me in my own backyard and beyond. If you’ve made it to this point, thank you for reading and come back again for more posts on: Luxury | Food | Travel | LifeStyle  Also feel free to subscribe to my email newsletter so you don’t miss a post.

P.S A little about me:  My name is Marie and I was born and raised in Toronto, ON. I love the finer things in life yet I’m still humble, love nature, and overall a down to earth type at my core. All this means is, you’ll find me wearing the latest designer classic fashions one day, then you’ll see me in my bohemian style the next. I love animals, traveling, food, new experiences and I shy away from drama (no gossip here). I’m a registered nurse and I’m about a hop skip and a jump away from taking some time away from the workforce to travel. My heart yearns for adventure now-a-days. I’m a mother of two beautiful daughters and I feel like I’ve justtttt about gotten my identity back; anyhow can’t spill everything all at once, stay with me and get to know me.

See you next time 🙂

Aw, this was an exceptionally nice post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to generate a superb article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.

I find cutting your tasks into smaller portions and giving yourself a few days to complete them works.. Also, I was always told, anything done for 21 days becomes a habit. All it takes is 21 days of consistency to break the procrastination bug. 🙂 Hope that helped
